Band ProfileThe Rose Street Quartet is an Edinburgh based string quartet and can frequently be stumbled upon performing in and around the City. We are highly experienced in the provision of a musical backdrop to weddings, corporate events and private functions, as well as performances in the concert hall. Our extensive and varied background in arranging and performing string music also makes us an ideal option for studio-based session work. Our engagements have seen us play in venues from Inverness to London, in Edinburgh's St. Mary's Cathedral and Canongate Kirk, the castles of Edinburgh and Stirling, the palaces of Holyrood and Scone, the hotels of Gleneagles and St. Andrew's Bay, and the officer's messes of Redford Barracks and RAF Leuchars, to name but a tiny fraction. Beyond the core quartet, we draw from an ever-expanding pool of professional freelance string players, all of whom are accomplished chamber musicians.
