Band Profile

Alan is a Traditional highland bagpiper available for bookings in the Cheshire, Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire and Yorkshire areas, ideal for weddings, parties, corporate events and other functions. His experience amounts to nearly 30 years.

Alan started playing bag pipes at the age of 7 and was competing by the age of 9. Over the years Alan has travelled the length and breadth of England and Scotland taking part in various contests.

Alan offers 2 styles of dress for the occasion, you can choose either:

A black jacket with Fraser ancient hunting tartan
or a blue or navy jacket with the Macbeth modern tartan
or a Macloed Of Harris ancient hunting tartan

For weddings, Alan can play bag pipes before, during or after the ceremony, and/or at the drinks reception or wedding breakfast meal.

Alan has performed on Coronation Street as well as at Burns Nights including one with David Moyes of Everton present. Alan has also just played on BBC Radio Lancashire and on the morning of 23rd January will be playing live on Manchester's Channel M.
