Band ProfileLia is a traditional harpist based in Nottingham in the East Midlands of England. She is an experienced professional musician and her harp music has been a part of many special occasions. She specialises in traditional music from across the UK, combining harp and voice in beautiful combination. Lia is an experienced professional harpist with a large client base, who is in demand for weddings and other special occasions and has played at events throughout the United Kingdom. Lia plays at tens of weddings per year, in addition to solo performances, corporate functions and restaurant bookings. She specialises in traditional harp music but also has a repertoire packed with the classical and modern music that is popular for weddings and other events. Lia can also perform Christmas music on the harp. Lia plays a Pilgrim Progress lever harp, which has a beautiful rich tone but is portable enough to carry up stairs and into spaces which would not accomodate a concert harp. As a professional harpist, Lia takes bookings in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire and Yorkshire (Leeds, Sheffield and York, for example), and is able to travel to other places in the UK providing the extra costs are met.
