Band ProfileCity Lights are an excellent 6-piece jazz swing function band comprising of some of the finest musicians in the country. Made up of female singer, trombone, saxophones/woodwind, piano, double-bass and drums, the band are ideal for corporate functions, parties, weddings, balls and dinners, and will provide anything you request from light dinner music to lively up-beat tempos for dancing. City Lights can play anything from the swinging era of the 20's and 30's to the cool modern sounds of the 60's. We also have a selection of more modern and popular songs. Our repertoire includes titles made known by Diana Krall, Frank Sinatra, Van Morrison, Norah Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, Julie London, Nat King Cole, Eva Cassidy, Jamie Cullum and Peggy Lee, to name but a few. City Lights are primarily based in South Yorkshire and cover all of the UK. They are particularly ideal for live jazz performances in South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Derbyshire, the Midlands, East Yorkshire, Lancashire and other parts of the north of the UK. To tailor for your needs, City Lights are often more than happy to take requests in advance for any songs. City Lights have a vocal repertoire of about 200 songs. These consist of Latin, swing, blues, Trad and bop tunes from the 20s through to the present day.
