Band ProfileDescribed as having the gift of a voice which can both brightly sparkle and sensuously smoulder, Debbie Wilson has performed at major festivals including the famed Wigan International Jazz Festival and The Preston Jazz Festival, at product launches for reputable names such as BMW and Orange Communications, and at prestigious venues across the UK ranging from The Winter Gardens in Blackpool, Home in London and the Railway Museum in York. Further work includes lengthy contracts with leading hotel groups including Hilton, De Vere, Thistle, Ramada Jarvis, Paramount and MacDonald. Debbie's repertoire of over 200 songs encompasses and enormous swathe of musical territory, moving easily from popular songs to her first love, jazz, a music which has captivated her since the childhood experience of discovering the brilliance of the piano giant Oscar Peterson. The current resurgence in easy listening Dinner Jazz has given Debbie a natural forum for her adaptable talent: offering genuine and captivating sophistication, glamour and elegance she is also able to perform unobtrusively as a discreet musical backdrop, and is a truly versatile asset for any occasion, as many commercial engagements attest. Debbie can perform as part of a 4-piece or 5-piece jazz band, sometimes under the Debbie Wilson Jazz Group name and sometimes under the name Quintessential Swing.
